A Little More Light – A Participatory Lantern Parade
Saturday 2 December 2017
Starting 4.45 pm at IT Tallaght, Old Blessington Road and processing to Rua Red / Civic Theatre
UNWRAPPED marks the beginning of celebrating the winter festive season across South Dublin County. This year our title A Little More Light reminds us of the part that light play in celebrations around the world in the dark days of winter.
Two hundred participants of all ages from across the county are taking part. Each participating group will carry specially designed lanterns.
The event will include dance performances, a new choral work. It will culminate in the lighting of the Christmas Tree by the Mayor of South Dublin County; Cllr.Paul Gogarty.
The afternoon will end with musical entertainment. Hot Chocolate and Hot Fruit Punch will be on sale at the two venue cafes.
JOIN IN THE FESTIVE FUN! This year we invite Families and Friends the opportunity to participate in the event.
