The new Ballyroan Library opened its doors on Monday 18th February, 2013. Please do visit our state-of-the-art new library, which includes a lecture hall, an exhibition space, a digital training suite as well as a dedicated research room.
Facilities include our easy-to-use self-service units which should reduce queuing time. The new library offers extensive seating and a large study area with many public access pcs, as well as printing and photocopying facilities. Free wi-fi will be available throughout the building.
The children’s library now has a dedicated storytelling pod, child-friendly shelving and seating and a wide range of books and DVDs for little ones.
Whether you want to find the latest bestseller, surf the net or just read the newspaper, we are confident that the new library will meet your expectations. To avail of these facilities, simply bring your library card. If you don’t have a library card, just register online at http://www.southdublinlibraries.ie. If you’ve lost your card, bring along proof of address and we will be happy to issue you with a replacement.
